Singing to the right tune
Bryson An Munia Tober singing group were highly commended in the Healthy Cities Awards held recently in Belfast City Council. The singing group is part of the health project organised by Bryson An Munia Tober for the Traveller Community in Belfast. The WHO Belfast Healthy City Awards were presented in Belfast by Deputy Lord Mayor, Cllr. Guy Spence.The awards, which were introduced to celebrate the contribution of organisations from all sectors to the health and wellbeing of the people of Belfast.
Deputy Lord Mayor Guy Spence said, “These awards recognise the excellent work undertaken by a range of organisations across our city in promoting a healthier lifestyle. I congratulate all those who entered the awards and who continue to work for a positive Belfast.”
Joan Devlin Chief Executive of Belfast Healthy Cities said this third year of the awards which continue to attract an excellent standard of entry.
“The awards are now firmly fixed in the Belfast calendar and they continue to attract a very high standard of entry. Belfast is now established in the European World Health Organisation network and the project delivered by Shopmobility is an example of the tremendous work being done. We congratulate all those who entered and won today.”
